Our client plays a major role in the Belgian and European energy landscape, building sustainable, green and reliable energy infrastructure. The company is seeking freelancers to work locally and offshore on various national and international projects.
To strengthen the Engineering department, our client is looking for a Project Engineer Civil Works (PE CW). In this role, you will be responsible for the technical implementation of projects within a multidisciplinary team and ensure the coherence, quality, and functionality of designs and solutions.
As Project Engineer, you will act as a key link between the design team, technical experts, and the Project Leader, contributing throughout the full project lifecycle from feasibility study to project closure.
The service consists of the following tasks:
- Supporting the technical implementation of projects within the Engineering department;
- Ensuring the coherence and quality of designs and monitoring project functionality;
- Contributing to feasibility studies and technical concept development;
- Coordinating with Project Leaders and other Project Engineers;
- Acting as the interface between design teams, experts, and project management;
- Identifying impacts of new concepts on project execution and taking corrective actions;
- Guiding the design team during the detailed study phase;
- Monitoring that studies are executed according to scope and quality requirements;
- Reporting on project progress and technical developments.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Engineering (civil or industrial) with a focus on construction;
- Knowledge of electricity grids is an advantage;
- Very good knowledge of French and good understanding of Dutch;
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset;
- Analytical mindset with ability to solve complex technical problems.
