Description

For a major project in the energy and infrastructure sector, we are looking for an experienced Data Integration Engineer to support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise data integration solutions within a modern data platform environment.

In this role, you will join a foundational data team responsible for building and maintaining a data product factory. You will contribute to the development of scalable integration solutions, support data management initiatives, and collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable, high-quality data services across the organization.

Tasks:
  1. Design and implementation of solutions for effective data management (like data quality tooling, master data management, …)
  2. Ensure the alignment between the business/technical architecture and the functional/non-functional needs of the clients
  3. Bring concrete experience in terms of best practice in the data management concepts and provisioning of data platform solutions
  4. Guarantee performance and trust in the solution by participating to the set up and following of a continuous build and testing platform
  5. Collaborating with the (sub) chapter lead to contribute in the maturity development of the chapter
  6. Bring technical expertise to the team as well as infrastructure knowledge of tools used in the data platform (open data soft, queue manager, distributed cache, audit and monitoring)
  7. Participate in the setup of an efficient and dynamic documentation solution
  8. Second and third line support for production

Requirements:
Technical Skills (required)
  1. Experience in .Net/Microsoft platform (5+ years)
  2. Integration framework experience
  3. Scheduler framework experience
  4. Audit and Trace framework experience (3+ years)
  5. Efficient monitoring tools experience (3+ years)
  6. Web Services (REST, SOAP), XML, Flat Files, GraphQL, Messaging-/Steaming based communication
  7. Experience with a data centric approach and working in a product organization
  8. Capabilities to help in the administration of the tools used (mixed environment Windows and Unix)
  9. Supplier and procurement documentation and meetings with external parties will be in English. Knowledge of this language is mandatory
  10. Theoretical knowledge of and practical experience with distributed architecture patterns (synchronous & asynchronous)
  11. Distributed cache patterns (Concepts and practical experience)
  12. Practical experience in the usage ofMessaging and/or Event Streaming solutions
  13. Practical experience in the development of a data integration layer
  14. Automated Unit Testing and Integration Testing
  15. Continuous Integration development
