We are seeking an experienced FinOps Analyst with a strong background in AWS cost optimization and infrastructure management. This role plays a critical part in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing cloud expenditure across a large-scale AWS environment in the financial services industry. Key Responsibilities:
Analyze AWS Cost and Usage Report (CUR) data using Athena queries
Identify total cost elements and utilization metrics in collaboration with engineering teams
Develop dashboards and automated reports for cloud spend tracking
Recommend and implement cost-saving strategies and anomaly detection mechanisms
Drive improvements in tagging standards and resource classification
Partner with finance and engineering to support accurate budgeting and forecasting
Continuously explore and adopt new FinOps tools and technologies
Must-Have Skills:
3+ years in FinOps, cloud financial management, or a similar role
Proven experience implementing FinOps functions and governance practices
Strong command of AWS pricing models, services, and billing structures
Proficiency in AWS Cost Explorer, AWS CUR 2.0, and Athena (SQL-like querying)
Experience with cloud infrastructure management and identifying cost optimization opportunities
Prior experience in tagging strategy implementation and automation
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with cloud reporting across multi-cloud environments
Background in the financial services or large-scale enterprise domains
Understanding of financial planning and cost variance analysis
