You will be helping to make our data scientists and ML engineers more productive by providing them with a best-in-class machine learning model development and deployment environment. You will focus on enabling more models to move into production, both in cloud and on-premises environments, and owning responsibility for their continued performance in production. This will also involve developing a model monitoring pipeline for the models and making architecture decisions about our model deployment environment.
Job Responsibilities and Key Duties:
- Decide on the optimal deployment setup for machine learning (ML) models.
- Collaborate with cloud security specialists to determine deployment architecture.
- Establish a pipeline for model deployment, monitoring, and retraining in cloud and on-premises ML-Ops environments.
- Support data scientists and ML engineers in adopting best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
- Communicate with cloud and data teams, as well as data scientists, to express needs and ensure effective collaboration.
- Work with data engineers and software architects to integrate ML models with other software and data tools.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software and/or machine learning engineering, focusing on models in production.
- Experience with Azure ML.
- Proficiency in Docker.
- Familiarity with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Knowledge of MLflow is a plus.
- Familiarity with Databricks is a plus.
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior data scientists is a plus.
- Experience deploying to cloud environments, particularly Azure, is a plus.
- Proficient in writing production code, including test-driven development and CI/CD pipelines.
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, engineering, informatics, or related fields is a plus.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills in German, Dutch, or French are a plus.
- Creative, autonomous, empathetic, team player with a result-driven mindset.
- Strong communication skills.
