Darwin Recruitment are currently hiring for a Frontend Developer on a freelance basis for a company in Stockholm that was founded in 2001 and is a government owned passenger train operator in Sweden. This company has recently started major work to modernize and replace central systems for ticket booking. After procurement, they have chosen system support from Sqills and the work to integrate and supplement the solution has now started. In a first step, the customer builds a team that is responsible for setting structure, exploring technical conditions and creating a basis for efficient development on a larger scale. In the next step, additional teams will be set up that will work, among other things, within the work stream "sales channels" to build flows for our digital channels to search for travel, book, pay and manage booked tickets.


The digital channels today consist of web, android and IoS app. One has an ambition to build a PWA adapted web. It builds on Azure as a platform with technologies such as Java Spring Boot for microservices and React as a front-end framework. Experience with microfrontends and PWA techniques is advantageous. Competency requirements:

· At least 3 years of experience in system development

· Worked with test-driven development

· Good knowledge of React, HTML5 and CSS

· Experience with PWA techniques and thinking based on the "mobile first" concept

· Accessibility according to WCAG 2.1

· Experience with Azure B2C AD

· Agile methods

It is important that the consultant can take responsibility for their own work. These individuals need to be able to make decisions and dare to test themselves and at the same time have an open and non-prestigious approach to their employees. The developers work close to the business, which requires social skills and a positive attitude. The teams are cross-functional, work agile according to scrum. They like to see people who want to contribute with perspective and experience in technology/development as well as method/collaboration. The role includes both new development and in the future management. Interest/passion for test-driven development and "clean code".
