Description
Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Full Stack Developer for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of c.£450-£500/day (Outside of IR35). This role will be hybrid/flexible working.Responsibilities:
- Help design and realise a web-deployable software platform that enables chemists to analyse their uploaded video footage of chemical reactions without being limited by the computational power of their local resources.
- Lead both publishable and protectable web design activities as part of a team
- Manage and prioritise your own workload, embracing AGILE principles to collaboratively adapt and refine your approach in this fast-paced environment.
- You will input as a team member to strategic discussions and software demonstrations with our end-user partners.
- Help create a testable, demonstrable, and maintainable version 1' of a web-deployed software stack that will later be used to drive adoption of a broader computer vision toolkit.
Essential Skills:
- Educated in Computer Science (or closely related Engineering discipline) or have significant relevant experience in addition to a relevant degree.
- Have sufficient breadth or depth of knowledge in full stack web development, and web server maintenance.
- Python (Back End development).
- Web frameworks (Flask, Django).
- Professional proficiency in web-related languages (eg HTML5, CSS, Javascript)
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with web server set-up and maintenance is desirable.
- Experience on computer vision-related projects is also attractive for this role.
