GoLang Engineer - 6 months - Burgess Hill (Hybrid) - Inside IR35.
I am seeking an experienced Golang Engineer to join my client's dynamic team on a 6-month contract. As a key member of an agile development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing Golang-based microservices and APIs that power our next-generation financial services solutions. You will also play a vital role in implementing best engineering practices, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and driving DevOps excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Golang microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate within an agile team environment to deliver high-impact features.
- Lead and enforce best practices in branching strategies, coding standards, BDD/TDD, CI/CD, and DevOps.
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from planning and design to testing, release, and troubleshooting.
What You Will Ideally Bring
- Strong expertise in Golang development.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining microservices & RESTful APIs.
- Solid experience in Back End systems development.
- Hands-on experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
- Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools like JIRA.
- Good understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
