Description
We are looking for several "HP Infrastructure and Storage Engineers with experience in complex Virtual Environments with high availability infrastructures in big Datacentres" in STRASBOURG (100% on-site, Security Clearance desired, EU-nationals ONLY) to start from approx. June-July-August 2023 an initial contract until (extensions possible) for an international Org' client in Strasbourg. This role is expected to run 4 more years!
EU nationals ONLY (due to the "EU" security certifications required). We can't accept any longer UK-consultants, as long they don't have EU-SECRET clearance or another EU-citizenship.

- 100% onsite Strasbourg
- Mandatory: Security Clearance - EU citizenship (at least 10 years of residence)
- This is a real longterm contract with possibility of extension based on performance and budget availability.
- EU nationals ONLY (due to the "EU" security certifications required). We can't accept any longer UK-consultants, as long they don't have EU-scurity-clearance or another EU-citizenship (after Brexit the UK-consultant can't get any longer "EU" security clearances, which is mandatory for this position).
- A Security clearance (SC) will be required for this position, if you don't have a valid SC, we will guide you. Our company is holding "FSC - Facility Security Clearance", so we are able to guide/sponsor you through the "PSC - Personal Security Clearance" procedure.
- Start date "ASAP" means within 2-3 months (because of SC-procedure, while an existing EU-security-clearance will allow to start sooner, but a new SC application will delay start by some weeks/months).
- Mobility outside country: No.
TASKS
The HP Infrastructure and Storage Engineer with experience in complex Virtual Environments with high availability infrastructures in big Datacentres will provide:
- Administration and troubleshooting of infrastructure and storage solutions based on HP hardware for physical and virtual environments issues.
- Contribute to the design, operation and maintenance process of Virtual Environments based on VMWare and Containers for system integrations within the current technology platform and the client's ecosystem.
- Create, contribute, and review documentation related to Virtual Environments within the context of virtual system deployments and virtual system architecture definitions and procedures.
SKILLS
- Experience implementing or operating complex VMware architectures: Knowledge in high availability virtualization platforms based on vSphere version 6 or 7.
- Experience with storage solutions based on HP hardware for physical and virtual environments.
- Experience on Red hat, HPUX, Nagios monitoring, BMS Hub and FTS.
- Experience in Microsoft Windows Server-based environment, Active Directory and supporting Microsoft services.
- Technical exposure to Disaster Recovery practices, Storage Management, and Backup procedures for virtual environments.
- Understanding of Network Virtualization and Storage Virtualization with some level of exposure to VMWare technologies such as VSAN and NSX.
- Exposure to VMWare Horizon suite of products for VDI.
- Understanding of automation and container orchestration products such as Ansible, Kubernetes, and RedHat OpenShift.
- Understanding of Project Management tools and procedures.
- ITIL knowledge.
