Assignment description

Senior IBM Mainframe developer required for our client in the banking sector to work on a Payments Integration project.

Must-have knowledge and experience

Key Skills: Mainframes - Cobol, JCL, IMS/DB2

  • Strong Mainframe Programming experience with Cobol/JCL/DB2/IMS.
  • Excellent Design and development skills in above mentioned technical stack.
  • Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills & able to independently solve technical problems.
  • Creative, Quick learner and excellent team player and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-have knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge of Java/Mainframe Integration (IMS,JCA) would be nice to have.
  • Knowledge of Authentication/Authorization methods using Hash functions (SHA-2)/Security Tokens would be a plus.

Location: Candidates must already be based in either Helsinki Finland or Stockholm Sweden as 3 days per week onsite work in either location is required and 2 days per week can be remote work.

Language: Fluent in English, both written and spoken
