IFS Consultant (Industrial and Financial Systems)/SME - Windsor/hybrid - £500 per day
The IFS Consultant/Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be instrumental in driving business transformation through the successful deployment and optimization of IFS Application. This role focuses on enhancing asset management processes and aligning business workflows with IFS solution to improve operational efficiency. The consultant will collaborate closely with clients, vendors, and partners to ensure best practices in IFS configuration, while also ensuring seamless data interoperability with BIM tools and other enterprise systems. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of asset management, business process improvement, and cutting-edge technology.
Essential Skills:
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of IFS Applications and their modules, including customization and configuration.
- Strong background of IFS system with ERP system integration and data flow management.
- Proficiency in ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Loading) processes for managing large datasets.
- Functional Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of business processes across multiple departments (maintenance, assets, finance, HR, supply chain).
- Proven ability to design and implement solutions that improve business performance and asset management.
- Problem-Solving and Communication:
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to articulate, manage stakeholders expectations, build reports, and powerpoints to present technical subject to senior stakeholders in simple yet sharp presentations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of aligning project goals with business expectations.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in the Utility Industry.
- Certifications in database management (eg, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server), programming, or IT infrastructure (eg, ITIL), knowledge of JD Edwards, SAP, Salesforce
- Experience in cloud (AWS, Azure)
- Prior experience in a consulting role, delivering tailored solutions and advisory services to clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- IFS Applications certification (highly preferred).
- Relevant certifications in database management, IT infrastructure, or programming are a plus.
- Strong background in consulting, providing solutions and advisory services to diverse clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation & Configuration
Lead and drive the implementation of IFS Application, ensuring strategic planning, seamless installation, governance, and rigorous testing to meet client needs and industry standards. - Business Analysis
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with business objectives. - Consultation and Support
Provide thought leadership and expert guidance to clients, delivering best practices in IFS usage to maximize asset management efficiency and business outcomes. - Integration
Oversee the integration of IFS Applications with other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability to optimize business operations and decision-making.
