Informatica BDM Admin
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Rate: negotiable, inside IR35
Location: must be able to work hybrid in Norwich
We're looking for an experienced Informatica BDM Administrator to support a high-profile data platform modernisation programme. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies and cloud environments to maintain and optimise critical data services across multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, upgrade, and configure Informatica BDM, EDC, and IDL components
- Deploy BDM components across environments and automate processes
- Optimise ETL performance and tune code as needed
- Source data from traditional systems to Hadoop using Sqoop
- Write and compare Native Hive QL vs. BDM job performance
- Configure cluster queues and manage resource usage
- Perform capacity planning across DEV, QA, PROD, and DR environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, including liaising with Informatica support
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years' Informatica BDM administration experience
- Strong knowledge of Informatica platform and cloud-based deployments
- Familiar with AWS services and cloud infrastructure
- Experience in large-scale, multi-environment setups
- Background in data performance tuning and platform optimisation
