A prestigious company needs a Junior Application Security Analyst. This company is looking for someone with 1-2 years of experience with initial security background. They will supporting Jira ticket management, and will need understanding of security terminology such as controls, risk, vulnerabilities, attacks, etc. They will need to have an understanding of Agile & SBDF.
Responsibilities:
- Administer the Sustain Planner Application:
- Manage user access and permissions to the Sustain Planner application.
- Monitor and maintain the application's functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with the development team to address any technical issues or enhancements.
- Assist the team in creating and managing Jira tickets for cybersecurity projects and tasks.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of ticket details, including descriptions, priorities, and assigned resources.
- Monitor the status of tickets and provide updates to stakeholders as needed.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including documentation, data entry, and report generation.
- Maintain organized records and files related to cybersecurity projects and activities.
- Support team members in coordinating meetings, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars.
- Work closely with senior analysts and cybersecurity professionals to gain knowledge and experience in the field.
- Actively engage in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing systems.
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure and security concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Relevant certifications in cybersecurity (eg, CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker).
- Experience in administering and maintaining applications or tools.
- Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices.
