Keycloak Developer (m/f/d) – Support & Maintenance (Remote)

For a client in the energy sector, we are looking for an experienced Keycloak Developer (m/f/d) to support and maintain a central authentication and authorization platform based on Keycloak.

The role focuses on operational support, maintenance, upgrades, and ad-hoc development activities in a productive, customer-facing environment.

Keycloak Operational Support

- Ongoing support and maintenance of an existing Keycloak environment

- Analysis and resolution of incidents and technical issues

- Execution of Keycloak version upgrades and security updates

- Batch operations and advanced configurations (e.g. consent resets, user-related configurations)

- Close collaboration with internal technical teams to clarify requirements and ensure system stability

Keycloak Development & Customization

- Customization and adaptation of Keycloak themes and templates, including:

*Login and authentication pages

*Consent pages

*Emails generated by Keycloak

*Branding elements (logos, colors, CI changes)

- Implementation of changes driven by:

*New applications connected to Keycloak

*Regulatory or legal requirements (e.g. consent handling, MFA enhancements)

*Breaking changes introduced by new Keycloak versions

- Participation in technical discussions and coordination meetings as required

Must-have:

- Several years of experience as a Keycloak Developer

- Strong hands-on experience with:

*Keycloak implementation, configuration, and maintenance

*Keycloak upgrades and security patching

*Theme and template customization

- Solid understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts

- Experience working in productive, customer-facing systems

- Ability to work independently in a flexible, demand-driven environment

- Experience in the energy sector is a plus

- Fluent in English (business level)

- Start: asap

- Duration: 12 months

- Workload: Part-time, variable (depending on demand)

- Location: Remote
