Description
We are looking for a Level 2 Video Streaming Engineer to support and maintain video streaming services in a production environment. The role involves troubleshooting streaming issues, ensuring service reliability, and supporting live and on-demand video delivery. Location: Romania (Cluj / Bucharest)
Work Model: Remote initially – potential hybrid if requested by client
Contract: 6 months Contract-to-Hire
Languages: German C1 + English required
Key Responsibilities
Provide Level 2 operational support for video streaming platforms
Troubleshoot streaming issues affecting live and on-demand services
Perform root cause analysis for video playback or delivery problems
Monitor system performance and service quality
Support incident management and service restoration activities
Maintain operational documentation and troubleshooting guides
Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve escalated issues
Required Skills
Experience supporting video streaming platforms
Knowledge of video streaming protocols such as HLS, DASH, RTMP, SRT, WebRTC
Understanding of video codecs including H.264, H.265, VP9, AV1
Experience with streaming tools such as FFmpeg, AWS Elemental, Wowza, OBS
Understanding of CDN concepts
Strong troubleshooting skills in streaming environments
Language Requirements
German – C1 (mandatory)
English – professional working proficiency
