We're recruiting on behalf of a Mainframe Services Provider who are looking for a Mainframe Automation Engineer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract.
As a Mainframe Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for z/OS environments, optimizing system operations, and improving efficiency across Mainframe systems.
- Design, implement, and maintain z/OS automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
- Develop automation scripts and workflows using tools such as IBM z/OS Automation, REXX, JCL, and other Mainframe automation utilities.
- Track Service Delivery and ensure SLA compliance.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Previous experience with z/OS Mainframe Architecture.
- Experience with IBM or ISV products such as IBM System Automation or CA OPS/MVS
- Expert knowledge in Assembler Programming
- Experience in Mainframe Security such as RACF, ACF2
