Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Aghada CCGT Plant Overhaul
Location: County Cork, Southern Ireland
Duration: Approx. 6 months with possible extension to 12 months
Daily Rate: up to €750/day

Overview:
Our client, a leading player in the power generation industry, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team for an exciting project at a cork based Plant. This
project involves addressing unscheduled maintenance issues on various equipment, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage contracts and liaise with project teams and specialist groups.
  • Develop technical specifications, supervise contractors, and oversee quality control.
  • Collaborate with management and maintenance teams, conduct audits, and report on project progress.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in power generation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical plant and equipment.
  • Experience in planning and executing major power station overhauls.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team structure.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with CCGT power plants and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Base Location:
Candidates must be willing to work on-site at the Aghada Plant in County Cork, Southern Ireland.
