Description

Our client, a pioneering company focused on revolutionizing cancer cell detection through cutting-edge computer vision technology, is seeking a talented and experienced MLOps Engineer. They are looking for an enthusiastic individual to contribute their expertise in machine learning operations and play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare technology. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact, with the potential for extension based on project needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to deploy, manage, and optimize machine learning models for cancer cell detection using computer vision techniques.
  • Develop and maintain robust pipelines for data ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training.
  • Implement scalable and efficient deployment strategies for machine learning models using containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Monitor model performance and implement strategies for continuous model improvement and retraining.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of machine learning solutions into existing infrastructure and applications.
  • Maintain a strong focus on security, privacy, and compliance requirements in healthcare data management.
  • Identify and address operational issues related to model deployment, monitoring, and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in MLOps, computer vision, and healthcare.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an MLOps Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare or life sciences domain.
  • Strong proficiency in machine learning concepts and techniques, with hands-on experience in model development, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Solid understanding of containerization technologies (eg, Docker) and orchestration tools (eg, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and knowledge of cloud-based machine learning services.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools (eg, Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tools for data preprocessing and manipulation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Contract Details:

  • Initial contract duration: 3 to 6 months, with potential for extension.
  • Competitive day rate: £500 - £750 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Outside IR35: This role is classified as outside IR35.
  • Location: London/Hybrid remote work is available, with occasional on-site collaboration required.
