Modelling Actuary
About the RoleWe are looking for a technically strong and innovative Modelling Actuary to support a major model transformation initiative. This role will focus on developing a flexible prototype model to replace a Legacy reporting system, enabling more agile and insightful actuarial analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of a prototype actuarial model to support major model change
- Translate actuarial methodology into robust, scalable model architecture
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure model outputs meet business needs
- Document model design, assumptions, and validation processes
- Support testing, governance, and implementation of the new model
Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in actuarial model development, ideally in life insurance
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Deep understanding of credit risk modelling and its application in insurance
- Experience working on model change or transformation projects
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
