Contract opportunity: Network Specialist - Hampshire (4 or 5 days a week on site) - initial 3 months - INSIDE IR35 - £ open to market rate - SC Clearance is essential
Please note: This role is inside IR35 and will require being on site majority of the time in Hampshire
We require a technically experienced network engineer who has logical and physical experience with a multitude of vendor devices/products. They will be working as part of a 5 man team supporting both development life cycles as well as Live service across 4+ project's infrastructures, with occasional trips to data centres spaced throughout the UK & occasional night-time working (major releases, maintenance windows). There is also the possibility of once monthly on-call of usually a 1 week period.
Responsibilities: Support Live service, both through resolving problem tickets as well as suggesting and/or implementing improvements to Live service both inside and outside of release cycles. Work alongside other SME teams (eg AIX, Windows) in both designing, implementing &troubleshooting.
Experience with Cisco devices include Catalyst series Switches, ASA series Firewalls and ACE series loadbalancers. Experience with Juniper devices including ScreenOS and JunOS based devices. LAN experience including VLANs, SVIs, Multi-layer Switches, ACLs. WAN experience including GRE, OSPF, BGP, VPLS, MPLS. Ability to methodically troubleshoot a complex technical issue using tools such as WireShark and TCPDump on network devices and/or various Servers. Looking for a Network Engineer who has an excellent understanding of Juniper OS's and associated protocols.
