Network Security Engineer (Cisco/Palo Alto)- Locations: Milan
- Duration: 18 Month rolling contract
- Remote: 2 days per week remote, 3 days on site

I am currently assisting a multinational Electrical company in finding a freelance Cisco/Palo Alto Network Security Engineer.
As part of their IT and Network Infrastructure Team you will play an integral role Managing, Installing and Designing their Network Environments

Main Responsibilities:
The position holder will be included in the IT and Network Infrastructure Team. Its activities will consist in the management, installation and design of:
- Implementation of Cisco Switches (segmentation and segregation)
- Lan architectures in Campus and Data-Center environments (Cisco Environment)
- Networks with advanced router protocols (egOSPF, BGP) using VRF
- Campus security management and Data Center bases (Firewalling based on Palo Alto )
Qualifications and skills:
- Experience in management, implementation and design of Cisco Network Routers & Switches (Catalyst and Nexus)
- Minimum level of Cisco CCNP Routing & Switching certification and 6+ years of experience
- Ability to manage solutions and configuration of Cisco Nexus 2000, 5000 and Catalyst 65xx, 9xxx devices with in-depth knowledge of the related protocols.
- Knowledge and implementation capabilities of Cisco WiFi solutions
- Skill and experience in troubleshooting Lan, Wan and WiFi networks
- Experience in security (PaloAlto) and implementation experience of this firewall in mode transparent
- Knowledge of the Cisco ACI platform is a bonus Analytical and problem-solving skills
