OutSystems Technical Lead

We're seeking an experienced OutSystems Technical Lead to become a key part of our low-code delivery team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of client engagements and collaborate closely with the Head of OutSystems to support technical solutioning, RFP responses, and the continued development of our practice.

Your Role:

In this leadership position, you'll be at the forefront of delivering modern, scalable solutions using OutSystems, guiding the architectural direction of our projects and mentoring team members. Your responsibilities will span both technical delivery and team leadership, ensuring our solutions are robust, future-proof, and meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the Head of OutSystems

  • Leading the technical delivery of applications that address complex challenges

  • Providing hands-on guidance to developers throughout project life cycles

  • Supporting junior developers in their technical growth and onboarding

  • Assisting with technical inputs for proposals and tenders

  • Engaging in internal practice-building activities

  • Working with clients in both advisory and delivery capacities

  • Adopting Agile methodologies throughout project work

What You'll Bring:

  • 6+ years working on OutSystems-based projects, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership capacity

  • Solid understanding of OutSystems 3-layer architecture and best practices in design

  • Strong technical foundation in web technologies (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery), SQL/database design, algorithms, and software engineering principles

  • Proven ability to build and integrate APIs (REST, SOAP), and extend platforms with custom components

  • A good eye for UX and the ability to implement user-centric design in applications

  • Experience in troubleshooting using error, monitoring, and performance logs

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

  • Analytical mindset, independence, and a drive for continuous improvement

  • OutSystems certifications: Associate Reactive Developer and Professional Traditional Web Developer (additional certifications such as Architecture or Security specialisations are advantageous)

  • Certifications such as OutSystems Associate Tech Lead or Pre-Sales are beneficial

NOTE: You MUST be eligible for SC Clearance. To gain (SC) clearance, you will need to have been a UK resident for a minimum of 5 years, and will need to successfully complete all stages of the vetting process, which includes: Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
