Job Title: Partner/Supplier Manager (Telecommunications Experience)

Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading Telco clients!

They are currently looking for an experienced Partner, Supplier or Vendor Manager to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. This assignment may extend up to two years and have the potential to convert to a permanent role in two years.

The project:

Two new suppliers are coming on board with our client to do a large piece of work in terms of buying, installing the platform, then migrating customers over to then exit old technology.
The client is replacing their Broadband platform for business customers. The role will require this person to manage the performance of two large global suppliers.
The first supplier will provide all the equipment. The second supplier will manage the integration/migration of the new platform.
This person will need to provide a Governance Framework, Contractual Management & Improvement Plans.
This person will need to have experience of contract management translating business requirements to technical stakeholders, and technical requirements to non-technical people.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

You will be responsible for working with & managing the suppliers on a day-to-day basis to ensure contracts are being met, SLAs are delivered and to support with any internal queries and issues.

  • Responsible for in life management and performance of the strategic partners and internal suppliers
  • You will do ongoing audits to check compliance and legislation are being adhered to and will need to report on this data
  • Liaising with all areas of business and external suppliers/partners. Internally and externally this will be Design Engineers, Architects, Delivery Managers, Programme Managers and anyone else involved in the process
  • Lead and develop successful partner relationships by stakeholder and partner relationship management
  • Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must have commercial experience and be a strong relationship builder and have GREAT communication.
  • Reporting will be using Excel, no big data here so all manageable within simple docs.
  • Must be long-term focused and be driven in supplier engagement.
  • Need to have technical contracting experience and not have been a Partner Manager as you might see in an Account Manager. The ability to build and maintain relationships is key, but the technical element is essential.
  • Must also have Telco experience as a Partner Manager
