Hours: Up to 40 hours/week, including 11-hour shifts on Saturday & Sunday
Rate: Standard hourly rate (in line with TV weekend rates)
We're looking for an experienced Podcast Producer to join our production team on a freelance basis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about audio storytelling and journalism, and confident working to high editorial standards. The producer will play a key role in crafting compelling podcast episodes-from planning through to publishing.
Responsibilities:
Plan & Coordinate

Plan and schedule podcast episodes, book guests, and maintain content calendars

Research topics and develop episode outlines

Ensure all content meets the highest journalistic standards for accuracy, balance, and sourcing
Production & Editing

Record, edit, and mix podcast episodes using Adobe Audition

Maintain high-quality audio standards and engaging content flow

Write introductions, segues, and show notes
Guest Management

Coordinate with guests, including scheduling and preparing them for recordings
Publishing & Distribution

Publish and distribute episodes across major platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts)

Follow established publishing workflows (full training provided)
Quality Control

Review and ensure consistency across all episodes, including audio quality, editorial accuracy, and tone
What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in podcast production, especially interview-based formats

Proficiency with Adobe Audition

Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to work weekends-Saturday and Sunday shifts are fixed at 11 hours each

Flexibility to work the remaining 18 hours during the week, as scheduled (not self-scheduled)
