Contract type: Freelance Contract OR Employment Contract available
Contract Duration: 1 Year + Extension Possible

About the role:
Responsibility in German and international projects for the improvement of the sales systems of insurance companies, e.g. with regard to the technical connection of sales partners to the processes and systems of insurance companies.
As a Requirements Engineer, you will clarify requirements with representatives of business analysts, architects and developers as a basis for the description of new features, their implementation and the corresponding testing.
Specification of requirements in the form of business concepts, user stories and test case descriptions using agile project methods and tools.

Professional / technical requirements:
  1. University degree in business administration, economics or business informatics – ideally with a focus on insurance management or a previously acquired degree as an insurance expert.
  2. 5+ years of experience as a consultant in the insurance sector or comparable experience as an employee in an insurance company, in the role of Business Analyst and/or as a Requirements Engineer – ideally certified according to IREB.
  3. Experience in the design and further development of sales processes in the areas of broker sales, agency sales and/or sales via cooperation partners.
  4. Knowledge of the application landscape of insurance companies, esp. sales systems and policy management systems as well as the data provision layer for the sales systems.
  5. Knowledge of the current BiPRO standards – theoretically as well as in terms of practical implementation at the insurance company.
  6. Experience with agile project approaches, ideally certification as a SAFe Practitioner or higher.

Other requirements:
  1. Professional language skills in German and English (written, oral).
  2. Good communication skills – proactive, listening, structured and efficient.
  3. Ability to collaborate effectively in local and international teams.
  4. Advanced knowledge of the use of relevant IT tools, esp. Office 365, Jira, Confluence.
  5. Willingness to travel as required in the project.
