For one of our clients, we are currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Controls Manager (m/f/d) to support a major rail infrastructure project in Ireland.

Role Overview:
The Senior Project Controls Manager plays a key role in leading and standardising project controls across a large-scale infrastructure programme. The position is responsible for establishing robust project controls frameworks, ensuring effective cost, schedule, risk, and change management, and supporting governance and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead benchmarking activities and promote best practices in project controls and document management
- Establish and manage performance measurement baselines using contract coding structures
- Oversee monthly project reviews and support financial reporting processes
- Manage change requests and change control, assessing impacts on cost and schedule
- Develop and implement PMO frameworks and project controls strategies for assigned projects or programmes
- Guide project teams on project controls processes including cost, schedule, change, risk, and reporting
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring consistent risk management practices
- Provide oversight of large projects, driving standardisation and continuous improvement
- Prepare regular status reports on project progress, budget, and risks, including mitigation strategies
- Support resource allocation and ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards
- Contribute to governance and assurance processes for planning, cost, and risk
- Ensure effective stakeholder communication and expectation management
- Establish and maintain standardised project management processes and methodologies
- Utilise PMO management software and project controls reporting tools
- Perform additional tasks as required by the role
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years' professional experience, including at least 5 years in project controls and 2 years in a Project Controls Manager role
- Bachelor's degree (Honours or equivalent) in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Membership of APM or PMI
- Proven experience on large-scale metro rail projects or similarly complex infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of project controls principles, methodologies, and toolsets
- Understanding of contractual and financial requirements within complex construction programmes
- Knowledge of quality management and process improvement systems, ideally within the construction industry
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all organisational levels
- Proficiency with document management systems, databases, and project controls software
- Advanced skills in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
