You MUST have the following:
- Advanced ability as a Senior Python Software Engineer/Developer/Programmer
- AWS
- Excellent Python ability
- Ability to read Java
- Snowflake or Iceberg
- SQL
The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:
- Financial services
Role: Python Software Engineer (Programmer Developer Python Java Software Snowflake Engineer Data Enterprise Engineering AWS Athena Agile Apache Iceberg Finance Trading Front Office Investment Banking Asset Manager Financial Services FX Fixed Income Equities Commodities Derivatives Hedge Fund) required by my asset management client in Baltimore, Maryland. You will join a new team within the central data office that is building out a new data management tool. You will be an expert in Python with some ability in Java. You will be working with AWS (Glue and Athena), SQL and Snowflake. In the background, they are moving to data mesh architecture and using tooling like DBT, Dremio and Iceberg. You DO NOT need experience in these however. Otherwise, the company also uses PySpark, Airflow and Apache Arrow.
They have a very flexible hybrid working set up of 1-2 days/month in the office.
