QA Tester with Retail Experience
Empiric are seeking a QA Tester with experience in the retail industry to join our quality assurance team. As a QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our retail software applications. Your primary responsibility will be to test various features and functionalities of our retail software to identify any bugs, inconsistencies, or usability issues.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts specific to retail software applications. Conduct functional testing to verify that the software meets the specified requirements and works as expected in a retail environment. Perform regression testing to ensure that new updates or modifications to the software do not introduce any issues or regressions. Collaborate with the development team to understand the retail business requirements and provide input on improving the software's quality and usability. Identify, document, and report software defects and inconsistencies using a bug tracking system. Perform usability testing to evaluate the user-friendliness and intuitiveness of the retail software. Validate data integrity and accuracy by conducting database testing and data validation checks. Participate in the troubleshooting and analysis of issues reported by users or encountered during testing. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to ensure timely resolution of issues. Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices related to retail software testing.Qualifications:
Previous experience as a QA Tester or in a similar role, with a focus on testing retail software applications. In-depth understanding of the retail industry, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management, E-commerce platforms, or related retail software. Proficiency in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts. Familiarity with various testing techniques, including functional testing, regression testing, usability testing, and database testing. Experience with bug tracking systems and knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the development team and other stakeholders. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks is a plus. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.Location: France/Lille
