Darwin Recruitment are currently looking for a Radio Frequency Spectrum Manager for a business in Toulouse that was founded in 2022 also has an office in Paris, currently has around 17+ employees looking to increase their head count across 2024. This business is on a mission to deploy a disruptive solution of telecommunication satellites which will enable telecom operators to deliver high speed, low latency internet connectivity to their clients in a sustainable and affordable manner where terrestrial networks are not available. Their ambition is to develop, deploy and operate a disruptive constellation of telecommunication satellites that will deliver high speed, low latency internet connectivity to every corner of the globe. This will enable telecom and mobility operators to provide high performance internet to their clients in a sustainable and affordable manner where terrestrial networks are not available.Your key responsibilities and tasks:
- Researching and understanding the regulatory requirements related to the operation of our system. Keeping up to date with regulatory evolutions.
- Identifying frequency management risks and strategic opportunities to the company
- Performing interference and compatibility analyses to assess the compatibility between our system and others, and our compliance to regulations.
- Coordinating and maintaining our ITU frequency filings
- Leading technical negotiations with other satellite operators, and any other frequency users with whom we need to coordinate.
- Leading technical negotiations with foreign national regulatory authorities and telecom operators to support the acquisition of the required licenses and authorizations for international market access.
- Representing the business at international conferences to support their radio spectrum strategy.
- Supporting the satellite operations team to ensure that the constellation is operated in compliance with frequency coordination and regulatory requirements.
Skills and experience
- Minimum master's level qualification in Telecommunications, Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience with SATCOM frequency management, planning, engineering, or regulation.
- Knowledge of satellite constellation mission planning and operations is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English.
