React Native Developer
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a React Native Developer based in Coventry 3 days a week, 2 days remote working for an initial 6 month contract.

Your responsibilities:
- Mobile App Development: Develop, Optimize, and maintain React Native apps to deliver high-quality, performance, and scalable mobile experience.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production mobile applications, ensuring their performance, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in mobile development and recommend solutions to improve app performance and user experience.
- Code Optimization & Best Practices: Write and optimize JavaScript/TypeScript code, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and scalability using best practices and design patterns.
- Cross-Platform Development: Develop cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, ensuring consistent functionality and user experience on both iOS and Android platforms.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and Back End developers to deliver cohesive and impactful mobile solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions that add value.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce code quality and testing processes, ensuring robust and reliable mobile applications.
- Cloud & Infrastructure Support: Work with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure to integrate Back End services and APIs with mobile applications.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively look for ways to improve development processes, tools, and workflows, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
Key Skills:
- Utilize CI/CD pipelines (eg, Github Actions) to automate build, test and deployment processes.
- Experience in designing and implementing JSX and components.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience working with cloud services and platforms, such as AWS/Azure, to integrate Back End services and APIs with mobile apps
- GitHub Skills and Experience: Proficiency in using GitHub for version control and code collaboration
- Effective Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, presenting technical concepts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Cross-Platform Development: Leverage platform-specific APIs and modules to enhance app capabilities.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking: Proactively look for ways to improve development processes, tools, and workflows, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement within the team.
- Firm grasp of the JavaScript and Typescript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax.
- Knowledge of JSX programming and Core components in react native.
- Ability to write well-documented, clean JavaScript and Typescript code.
- Deep Knowledge at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts.
- Familiarity with native build tool- Xcode, Gradle, Android Studio, Visual Studio code.
- Must Knowledge in Redux, Redux saga and Hooks.
- Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage.
- Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest, React Testing Library
Desirable skills:
- Experience with Back End API development in .NET Core
