We're currently recruiting for a Line 1 Regulatory Risk and Guidance Manager to join our clients' team as we develop our platform and product solutions for our advisers and customers. This role will play a key role in the development of our platform and product propositions, as we look to utilize the regulatory environment to deliver better outcomes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with our Proposition Development teams to collectively develop our new platform and the products that sit on it to meet adviser and customer needs
The ability to act as an authoritative SME for our Proposition teams in developing our propositions in line with our business objectives and regulations
Provide advice, independent opinion and assurance, with consideration of key rules and regulations, to promote informed decision-making and controlled risk-taking that influences the design of, and drives forward, our Open business platform and product proposition.
Work with all risk lines of defence to ensure the business objectives and actions are clearly understood, communicated, and managed through all key stakeholders and interested parties
Maintaining and developing an up-to-date technical knowledge in order to give accurate and timely advice when this is constantly changing and developing, expressing complicated technical information in plain English terms
Share and build regulatory knowledge within the team, so support longer term ability to manage within the business
Ensuring regulatory requirements are met, risks are effectively managed, and propositions deliver the business commercial objectives
What we're looking for
Strong track record in providing compliance advice in developing platform propositions, and pensions and saving products.
Deep understanding of FCA rules and their application to life assurance, pensions and savings products and to their distribution via platforms. In particular, this includes a deep understanding of platform rules and CASS. It also requires an in depth understanding of COBS, PROD, Responsibilities for Providers and Distributers and Consumer Duty.
Ability to demonstrate pragmatic interpretation of regulation to support the development of our propositions and influence stakeholders within the business.
The ability to work closely with our Proposition teams in developing new platform and product solutions for our customers and advisers.
Strong relationships building, gaining credibility and an appropriate level of influence across the business.
Capable of managing own workloads, whilst working as team in a professional, co-operative and mutually supportive manner
Essential
- Experience in similar type of role.
Desirable
- Undergraduate Degree (or equivalent) in relevant subject matter.
