Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee the implementation and delivery of IT solutions tailored to support the operations of a chemical manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies and extensive experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining IT systems within industrial settings, particularly chemical manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables in alignment with the needs of the chemical manufacturing environment.
2. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including factory management, IT teams, subject matter experts, IT solution owners and external vendors to ensure alignment of project goals with business objectives.
3. Requirement Analysis: The candidate is expected to have an excellent functional understanding of all the processes within the Chemical Manufacturing Plant. The candidate will thoroughly analyse business requirements and IT needs, ensuring solutions are tailored to optimise operational efficiency and compliance.
4. Solution Design and Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of IT solutions, such as:
• IT projects for Finance as well as Procurement, Legal, and HR
• SAP implementation and deployment experience is a must
• Implementation experience in SAP FICO
5. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and execution strategies, ensuring project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
6. Change Management: Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new IT systems within the factory environment, providing training and support as needed.
7. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures to validate the functionality, reliability, and security of IT solutions, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
8. Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the performance and effectiveness of IT systems and make continuous improvements as necessary.
9. Financial management—Ensure the project is within the financial budget. This includes budget estimations, CAPEX approvals, budget tracking, and avoiding overruns. Prepare and Submit budget requests where necessary.
10. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including detailed project plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews, to ensure transparency and accountability. Coordinate the creation of solution designs and resulting documentation.
11. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment to achieve project objectives effectively.
12. The ability to deliver projects using an agile framework is an added advantage.
13. Follow the Allnex Project Methodology (aPM) process and supporting documentation.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2 certification or equivalent is desirable.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT project management with SAP projects, preferably in chemical manufacturing, with a focus on delivering solutions for industrial environments.
• Experience with Jira and project management tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects from inception to completion, delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
