SCADA Desktop Packager - SC Cleared

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a SCADA Desktop Packager - SC Cleared.

This role will require you to use an FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company.

Must not have been outside of the UK for more than 6 months in the last 5 years.

Key Requirements:

- The Desktop Packager will be responsible for the packaging and deployment of software applications to Windows and Linux computers.
- This role requires a strong understanding of software packaging tools and technologies.
- Responsibilities include creating installation packages (MSI, RPM etc), Scripting, deployments and managing software distribution.
- You will need ensure efficient and reliable software delivery, whilst understanding requirements and adhering to security standards for a secure environment.

Key Skills:

- Strong understanding of software packaging tools and technologies.
- Proficiency in creating software packages for Windows (MSI, EXE) and Linux (RPM, DEB).
- Experience with Scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash and Python.
- Knowledge of software deployment tools such as Ansible and Tanium Deploy.
- Understanding Windows and Linux Operating system and their software management mechanism.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve packaging issues.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience with on-premises-based software deployment solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Good at documentation and implementing service improvements.
