Project Overview:
An IT implementation initiative aimed at digitizing the BA's internal personnel administration processes. It involves the adoption of a modern Document Management System (DMS) integrated with SAP and includes an electronic personnel file. The project will significantly upgrade the existing ERP system and eliminate paper-based processing, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency across the HR departments.Project Goals:
- Replace manual, paper-based personnel document processing with a digital system.
- Support HR departments with modern, intelligent tools.
- Enhance the existing ERP system through the addition of a DMS integrated with SAP.
The project operates in an agile environment following the Scrum methodology:
- Currently, there are 4 agile teams; a fifth team is planned.
- Work is conducted in 3-week sprints, with regular sprint reviews, retrospectives, and sprint planning sessions held in person in Nuremberg.
- Each team includes a Product Owner and is supported by a Scrum Master.
- Cross-team communication and coordination are important, especially in a scaled Scrum setup.
A Scrum Master (Skill 8. RV-SE PG2) is needed to:
Establish Agile Working Practices:
- Introduce and teach agile principles to the entire project team.
- Ensure compliance with Scrum rules.
Support Scrum Teams:
- Monitor and control external factors that impact the Scrum teams.
- Resolve blockers and acute problems.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Cross-Team Coordination:
- Manage communication between Scrum teams.
- Report and present work results to ensure smooth information flow between teams.
Product Backlog & Refinements:
- Assist in developing agile tools such as the Product Backlog.
- Conduct sprint retrospectives and aid in backlog refinement sessions.
Knowledge Transfer:
- Impart relevant Scrum knowledge to team members, stakeholders, and involved parties.
- Experience: Several years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Scaled Scrum: Ability to handle multiple agile teams in scaled Scrum setups.
- Project Management Tools: Familiarity with Confluence and Jira for project management and tracking.
This role is critical to ensuring the successful implementation of the project by fostering agile practices, improving team communication, and supporting the smooth operation of Scrum teams. The Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in driving the project towards its goal of digitizing personnel administration and integrating a modern DMS system with SAP.
