- Hays is seeking a Freelance Scrum Master for our client in the Industrial Sector The Scrum Master team is looking for a scrum master cover, dedicated to the eCommerce Product Team. The team includes skilled software developers, IT business consultants and a business-oriented Product Owner from offices in both Denmark and the Philippines. Theiragile journey began more than four years ago and has evolved ever since working actively with continuous improvement. The client continuously invests more in agile development of both software and products, and you will be stepping into an area that is committed to support the agile foundation. Currently, they are 11 teams covering around 90 team members and still growing. Join an agile setup You will be stepping into a Scrum setup, where the organization understands and values the Scrum Master position, and the collaboration with our management is a partnership. From the beginning, investing in an agile setup has been a close collaboration with our Business; all our Product owners are from the business and they come with a deep understanding of their business areas. There is still work to be done in expanding our agile bubble to surrounding areas and stakeholders. As an example of such, they are involved in a large, scaled IT program with a value stream perspective. I.e. The team or teams are interdependent with other teams in the organization, the complexity of work within integration requires thoughtful prioritization & decision making. · Coach the Development Team in self-management and cross-functionality, guide the team to ensure they continuously improve their way of working. · Ensuring a structured approach to the delivery process i.e, facilitate Scrum events as needed to keep the team on the right track. · Collaborating with the team to create and maintain borders and grow psychological safety. · Help with Product Owner understanding of product planning in an empirical environment. Ensure the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value and help the Product Owner in understanding and practicing agility. · Help the team to create high-value products. · Remove impediments to the team’s progress. Commerce is a diverse team in many ways, geography is only one. The are are looking for someone with empathy, who can facilitate and create strong relationships online as well as face to face. Thei way of working relies upon a hybrid setup. The Scrum Masters in the department can depend on each other for guidance and discussions to help create a solid agile culture. While in general they are very pragmatic in their daily work, they are also very ambitious. They expect your contribution to include creating a safe and productive space for team members both through working within the team and through helping our whole organization understand how they can also work productively with the team.
Main qualifications
- · Certified as Scrum master or equivalent experience · 5+ Years of experience with agile ways of working · Expert in understanding of team dynamics and how teams work · Bachelor or master's degree in relevant areas or equivalent experience · Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps or other software development management tools · Excellent communication skills both orally and in written English · Developer or tester background (nice to have) We would imagine you to have the following personal characteristics: As a person, you possess a lot of empathy and thrive in a team that works closely together. · You are an honest and outspoken person · You like networking and are good at “connecting people” · You easily build trust with people · You are proactive and find it easy to inspire action · You enjoy working with different cultures
