Description

Our client is a fast-growing logistics technology company based in Frankfurt, developing digital solutions that provide real-time visibility and analytics across global supply chains. Their platform connects transport networks, warehouses, and IoT devices to help logistics teams operate more efficiently.

They are seeking a freelance Senior Backend Developer for a 6-month hybrid contract (2 days on-site in Frankfurt, 3 days remote). You’ll build and scale backend systems in Kotlin and Spring Boot, ensuring the platform delivers reliable, high-performance data services.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain backend services using Kotlin and Spring Boot
  2. Design and document RESTful APIs for logistics data exchange
  3. Optimize system performance and scalability
  4. Deploy and manage applications on AWS using Docker
  5. Implement monitoring with Grafana
  6. Collaborate with DevOps, data, and product teams to deliver robust solutions
  7. Contribute to CI/CD automation with GitHub Actions
Requirements
  1. Strong experience with Kotlin, Spring Boot, and REST APIs
  2. Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, Docker, and AWS
  3. Familiarity with Grafana or similar monitoring tools
  4. (Nice to have) Experience in logistics, supply chain, or IoT systems
