Senior CMS Developer
Location: Remote (Europe)
Contract length: 11 months (extensions expected)
Start: ASAP
We are supporting a global pharmaceutical organisation that is investing heavily in new digital web capabilities. We are looking for a Senior CMS Developer (5-7+ years' experience) to join the Digital Web Experience team and lead CMS development across several strategic initiatives.
The role
You will take ownership of CMS development, contribute to architectural decisions, and guide CMS migration/integration activity. You will also act as a technical mentor to developers within the team and lead technical design discussions.
Key skills required
5-7+ years of professional web development experience
Minimum 2-3 years with CMS platforms (Magnolia CMS is advantageous)
Strong proficiency with Front End development:
HTML, CSS, TailwindCSS, AlpineJS, Lottie web animations
Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals
Backend development capability (Typescript/Nest.js/Node.js/Java/Spring)
Experience with RESTful API integrations and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
Git/GitHub experience (PR reviews, code quality oversight)
Soft skills
Ability to mentor and lead others technically
Strong stakeholder communication and influencing skills
Comfortable leading solution discussions and recommending best practice
