Description

We have a current opportunity for a Senior Construction Manager (m/w/d) on a contract basis. The position will be based in Ireland. For further information about this position please apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee construction activities across all project stages
  • Enforce high safety standards and conduct documented inspections
  • Ensure on?time, spec?compliant delivery and manage project milestones
  • Monitor progress, address delays, and implement recovery actions
  • Coordinate resources and maintain contract, quality, and safety compliance
  • Lead readiness checks, quality inspections, and ITP implementation
  • Act as primary contact for contractors and provide progress/risk updates
  • Recommend cost?effective solutions and support commercial strategy

Profile

  • 10+ years' experience, incl. 5+ years in major rail or complex infrastructure projects
  • Higher Certificate (or equivalent) in Engineering, Construction, or Project Management; Bachelor's degree preferable
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., MCIOB, MICE) or working toward them
  • Proven delivery of complex infrastructure and strong stakeholder management
  • Deep knowledge of safety regulations (e.g., SHWW Construction Regs 2020)
  • Experience with HSEQ processes, NEC4 contracts, and commercial awareness
  • Strong leadership, communication, risk mitigation, and scheduling skills
  • Solid understanding of rail construction methods, materials, and assurance
  • Experience in cost monitoring and resource planning
