We are building a new team of independent specialists to support a global client’s greenfield initiative in metrics, observability, and data analytics. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of data intelligence and observability within a high-impact enterprise platform.
As a Senior Data/Observability Engineer, you’ll help develop robust observability pipelines, ETL frameworks, and system performance metrics. Your role will bridge the gap between data engineering, cloud architecture, and AI-driven decision-making. DM me here or send Cv to () if you are interested.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain ETL/data pipelines to clean, transform, and normalize data
Work closely with data science and engineering teams to develop data models and ontologies
Implement observability tools and frameworks across distributed systems (cloud-native and hybrid)Develop dashboards, monitoring solutions, and incident response insights
Define metric instrumentation standards across application lifecycle
Analyze telemetry data (logs, metrics, traces) to drive business insights
Contribute to documentation, automation scripts, and best practices
Stay current with the latest in observability, monitoring, and cloud ecosystems
Must-Have Skills
8–12+ years of experience in data engineering or observability roles
Strong in Python, SQL, and tools like Power BI / Tableau
Experience with AWS services, especially Redshift and RDS
Solid understanding of distributed systems, observability tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana), and logging/tracing pipelines
Excellent communication skills – ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders
Experience working in agile, research-oriented teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ETL pipelines, semantic/ontological modeling, and Pub/Sub architectures
Exposure to OpenTelemetry (OTel) standards and cloud platforms (Azure/GCP)
Familiarity with event-driven systems, SRE collaboration, and incident response
Professional certifications in AWS, observability, or data engineering
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
Strong foundational experience in data analytics, cloud, and observability architecture
