Position: Sr. Network Support Engineer
Location: Romania - Remote but associate has to be in Romania ONLY
Type: Fixed Term Contract / Permanent
Required Experience - should have 8+ years of relevant experience.
This role includes shift work with weekend support, including Saturdays and Sundays, but with 5 working days per week. The standard shift is 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Job Responsibilities & Technical Requirements in Networks:
- Good hands-on experience in Installing, Configuring & troubleshooting — Cisco Router & Switches, Cisco SDWAN, Cisco ACI, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco ISE, F5 Load Balancers, Cradle Points, Cisco Wireless Controller and Access Points.
- Ensuring the best of service framework design and solution implementation for networking and load balancing platform for the organization.
- Should have knowledge of Infoblox, SDWAN, Riverbed (monitoring tool), Wireless (virtual c9800 CL).
- Must have good understanding and hands on experience of Routing and Switching platforms.
- Understand and configure application delivery on F5 load balancers with VIP Creation includes pools, rules, certs, etc.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues related to site-to-site VPNs or remote user VPNs.
- Modify firewall rules, VPN configurations, and other security policies under supervision. Address issues like access control lists (ACLs), NAT, and IPsec VPN troubleshooting.
- Should know how to upgrade Cisco ASA.
- Manage and provide support for remote End Users on Cisco VPN & ASA.
- Should have hands-on experience on Access point configurations and management.
- Should have knowledge on WLC troubleshooting and upgrades.
- Perform tasks related to VLAN creation and management, including troubleshooting inter-VLAN routing.
- Support IP address management tasks (e.g., DHCP reservations, IP subnetting).
- Troubleshoot Wide Area Network (WAN) issues, including MPLS, VPNs, and SD-WAN, and assist with identifying performance bottlenecks.
- Identify performance issues by optimizing routes, bandwidth allocation, and applying QoS policies.
- Diagnosing & help in troubleshooting complex issues like slow network performance, intermittent connectivity, or misconfigured devices.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and assist in identifying long-term fixes, ensuring issues don’t recur.
- Work with vendors like Cisco to troubleshoot issues and further escalate as needed.
- Implement temporary solutions to known issues as per change requests (e.g. changing route paths, adjusting bandwidth limits).
- Should have experience on any ticketing and monitoring tools.
- Responsible for producing RCA for the high severity issues.
- Can produce High Level & Low-Level Implementation Documents.
- Establish and maintain good working and technical relationships with Clients.
