You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and user satisfaction of industry-leading subsurface interpretation tools. Key Responsibilities:
Estimate and plan software testing based on technical specifications
Design, document, and execute functional and regression test cases
Identify, report, and validate defects throughout development cycles
Support automation backlog management and coordinate with automation engineers
Manage synthetic and real client data in OpenWorks/Oracle environments
Conduct performance testing across varying hardware configurations
Track product stability, defect trends, and testing metrics
Provide input on usability, integration, and product improvements
Collaborate within Agile teams and escalate project risks as needed
Required Qualifications:
BS/MS in Geology, Geophysics, Computer Science, or related engineering field
4+ years of experience testing enterprise software or working in geoscience domain
Hands-on experience with both Windows and Linux environments
Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed teams
Self-driven, organized, and able to support junior team members
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with Landmark software suite (e.g., DecisionSpace, OpenWorks)
Experience with Azure DevOps (test case & defect management)
OpenWorks/Oracle project data handling
Exposure to CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitLab, pipelines)
