Senior Systems Engineer (MBSE) - SC Clearance - Contract role - Bristol

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Senior Systems Engineer to work at a leading defence client of ours on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will work within a dynamic, forward-thinking engineering team, focused on obtaining, analysing and managing stakeholder requirements to develop cutting-edge service and system solutions.

Responsibilities include:

- Create system architecture diagrams, operational views, and data flows.

- Capture and document stakeholder requirements.

- Clarify ambiguous requirements and resolve conflicts between different stakeholder groups

- Maintain requirements databases and ensure traceability from stakeholder needs through to system design and testing.

- Develop and update system models using MBSE tools

- Produce use cases and operational scenarios.

- Conduct functional analysis to define requirements

- Assess how proposed solutions meet user and business requirements.

Experience required:

- A strong Systems Engineering background, having ideally worked on the development of complex, integrated solutions

- Experience capturing and analysing stakeholder needs to guide the development of service solutions suitable for future operational environments.

- Experience applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches to develop service and product system architectures in response to stakeholder requirements.

- Skills in generating Use Cases and conducting Functional Analysis to support requirements refinement and validation.

- Experience managing requirements and maintaining traceability throughout the engineering life cycle.

- A solid understanding of the engineering life cycle and how early technical decisions impact later development and support phases.

- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence, communicate effectively and adapt to changing programme demands.

- The ability to work confidently with internal and external stakeholders across diverse organisations, disciplines, backgrounds and levels of seniority.

- Ability to maintain engineering best practice at all times

- A self-motivated mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the drive to take complex issues through to resolution.

- Previous experience in the defence or aerospace sectors would be highly desirable

- Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC).
