Service Designer - Solution Architecture - Remote Working

An urgent role has arisen for a Service/Service Designer to join our client on a contract basis. Our client offers mission critical services and support complex IT challenges, providing IT services to clients.

This is a customer facing role and the successful candidate will have previous Service Architecture design and transition experience as well as strong communication, planning and presentation skills.

What You Will Do

  • Work with current and potential customers to understand their current IT requirements and needs Extensive expertise as a Service Architect/Solutions Designer
  • Design sustainable ITIL aligned Service solutions that consider people, processes, and tooling as well as commercial, cost and transition elements.
  • Must have experience working in an IT Outsourcing/Managed Services environment.
  • Substantial knowledge of service delivery concepts and techniques with strong operational understanding of multi supplier and SIAM based models.
  • Customer-facing skills at a senior-level, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and models to senior stakeholders using the appropriate level of detail.
  • Confidently manage delivering complex projects breaking down tasks and reporting risks and issues related to delivery in good time and prior to deadlines.
  • Proven ability to write compelling, high quality documentation including proposal and design documentation.
  • Able to build trust and lead with enthusiasm in order to deliver successfully.
  • Negotiate and bring consensus where differing views exist in order to achieve required outcomes.
  • Assess options based on risk and cost benefits and present recommendations to customer and internal decision makers.
  • Ensuring the service is fit for operational purpose and in line with Customer strategy and capable of delivering to target service levels and performance indicators.
  • Support projects designing service solutions that meet the project requirements and compliments or fits with existing services.
  • Deliver high quality plans and manage activity during transition ensuring deliverables are produced to time and quality.
  • Work within a virtual team structure, including technical architects ensuring deliverables provide a holistic managed service.
