Description

Darwin Recruitment are currently looking for a Space Operation Support Engineer on behalf of a business in Paris that was founded in 2017 that designs miniaturized aerospace thrusters for small satellites, increasing the life of satellites and making them more affordable. This company builds gridded ion thrusters and cold gas thrusters. As a Space Operation Support Engineer at this company, you will work on the analysis of space telemetry received from the company's propulsion system operating in space, ensuring efficient algorithm debugging and giving precious inputs for further system improvements. You will directly interface with satellite operators, and support ground qualification and acceptance testing campaigns of new and existing products.

Main tasks and responsibilities

· Space telemetry data post-processing and analysis

· Pilot algorithm/software validation campaigns integrate inputs from a broad range of sources (space data, ground experiments, theory, simulation, etc.)

· Support ongoing missions and assist with the satellite assembly and integration process, launch, commissioning, operational, and de-orbit

· Writing reports and technical documentation

· Support space and ground experiments with propulsion systems and their subsystems

· Collaborate with engineers and physicists in the development and industrialization of ground-breaking products

· Conduct performance analysis and generate operational recommendations.

Skills and qualifications

· Masters in embedded software, aerospace engineering or propulsion

· Solid understanding of complex embedded systems, ideally with knowledge of fundamental engineering and space propulsion related subjects

· Knowledge/experience in electronics

· Demonstrable technical writing and reporting skills

· Communicates in English fluently.
