Description

I am currently working with a public sector organisation who looking for support with ensuring key knowledge is documented, to support BAU teams.

You would need understanding of and ability to document the following:

  • LAN/Wireless network infrastructure for a large and complex multi campus voice and data network.
  • WAN and Intra Building/Site network connectivity. Dark fibre and managed circuits (BT and Virgin Media).
  • Structured cabling for Datacentre and Boundary/Edge switching (Copper and fibre).
  • Understanding of modern cabling techniques including design, methods and standards.
  • Datacentre and Infrastructure in local wiring closets and patch rooms, including electrical and cooling infrastructure.
  • UPS and generators.
  • Health & Safety and Asbestos awareness.

As well as the technology skills needed above, you will need to have strong documentation skills, communication skills, be able to challenge and question to ensure appropriate information is captured and documented.

Optional:

  • Siemens Openscape Telephony system and contact centres.
