RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Technical Support Representative in the North Charleston, SC area. This is a full-time, contract to hire, remote opportunity with our client.

Job Summary:
The Technical Support Representative is a crucial member of our diagnostic division, specializing in chemical manufacturing. This role is dedicated to providing exceptional customer support, including processing orders, generating quotes, and addressing customer inquiries. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a technical background in chemistry, biology, or physics, and the ability to navigate technical systems effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries related to products, orders, and quotes promptly and professionally.
  • Accurately process customer orders, ensuring all details are captured and communicated effectively to the relevant departments.
  • Quote Generation: Create and manage quotes for customers, providing accurate and timely information to assist in their purchasing decisions.
  • Provide technical support and expertise on products, leveraging your background in chemistry, biology, or physics to assist customers effectively.
  • Resolve customer issues efficiently, utilizing problem-solving skills and technical knowledge to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and update customer records in the database, ensuring all interactions are logged and information is up-to-date.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as sales, manufacturing, and logistics, to ensure seamless customer experiences and accurate information flow.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in our diagnostic products and chemical manufacturing processes to provide knowledgeable support to customers.
  • Gather customer feedback and communicate it to the appropriate departments for continuous improvement of products and services.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with using various software and technical tools to manage customer interactions and processes.
  • Ability to think critically and resolve issues effectively, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong attention to detail in order processing and documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
