Job Title: Telecom data technician
Location: USA-Denver
Salary/Rate: $30-37 per hour (300-370 day rate)
Start Date: 16/02/2026
Job Type: Contract 1099 3 years(extension)

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
The Telecommunications Sit Technician will join the Networks & Engineering team, reporting to the Project Manager and Technical Lead. You?ll handle the decommissioning, grooming, and removal of telecom infrastructure, including fiber and copper systems, across central and remote sites. The role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, ensuring safe, efficient site exits while managing equipment and meeting contractual standards.

1.Decommission telecommunication sites and infrastructure
2.Be able to use CLI (Command Line Interface) on equipment management ports
3.Work inside maintenance windows if work is required
4.Tag cabling disconnected from equipment and tie back to cable tray

5.Perform proper shutdown procedures for active equipment before removal

6.Test and verify fiber optic connections using OTDR and power meters

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
1.Knowledge of test equipment (OTDR, power meter, cable certifier, multimeter)
2.Ability to read and interpret site drawings and technical specifications
3.Familiarity with copper, fiber optic and coaxial cable systems
4. Track record with multiple technologies (wireless, fiber, copper, DWDM, SONET, Routers, DACS, Switches, etc.)
