Are you a skilled User Researcher passionate about improving public services?

We're seeking a talented User Researcher to join a dynamic team within a UK government department. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of citizens by shaping the design and delivery of innovative digital services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research activities, including interviews, usability testing, and surveys
  • Analyze user research data to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
  • Create clear and concise user research reports and insights
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to ensure user needs are prioritized
  • Contribute to the development of user-centered design principles and practices
  • Facilitate and participate in design sprints to rapidly iterate on product ideas

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a User Researcher within a digital or government context
  • Strong understanding of user research methodologies and tools
  • Familiarity with design sprint methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles
