Are you a skilled User Researcher passionate about improving public services?
We're seeking a talented User Researcher to join a dynamic team within a UK government department. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of citizens by shaping the design and delivery of innovative digital services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research activities, including interviews, usability testing, and surveys
- Analyze user research data to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
- Create clear and concise user research reports and insights
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to ensure user needs are prioritized
- Contribute to the development of user-centered design principles and practices
- Facilitate and participate in design sprints to rapidly iterate on product ideas
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a User Researcher within a digital or government context
- Strong understanding of user research methodologies and tools
- Familiarity with design sprint methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles
