Location: Majority of work will be done remotely, but travel to London and Manchester will be required and other locations in UK maybe required dependent on client and project requirements.

Clearance : SC - active - United Kingdom - Minimum 5 years UK residency required. - Needs to hold valid clearance that has at least 12 months to expire to allow for transfer

This role is to work as part of our migration team, owning and delivering key technical tasks to migrate Windows Servers as part of application migrations. The client is working to manage and deliver a set of critical migrations to move our client into a hybrid cloud estate. There is approximately 50% of the estate remaining to migrate and they are leading the overall delivery across management, architecture and implementation. You will be joining an existing team of migration specialists to deliver the migrations through 2023.

Essential skills and experience

  • Operating system administration, including: OS tuneable and configuration settings
  • Host based storage configuration
  • Host based network configuration
  • Backup and deployment of system images
  • Shutdown, and re-start of hosts Operating system architecture and virtualization platform, including: Hypervisor administration
  • External storage mapping to VM
  • External network (VLAN/Subnet) mapping to VM Data Flow configuration in terms of OS settings (routes, connections, file configurations etc.)
  • Tooling configuration within the Operating system (not the roll out)
