for one of our key clients, we are looking for a Backend Engineer (Go) – Affiliate/Impact.com Integrations to implement new system capabilities supporting the Affiliates acquisition channel.

Start: mid-February 2026 (preferred)

Duration: approx. 2 months

Workload: full-time preferred (4–5 days/week)

Remote / On-site: primarily remote

Location: remote (CET / Europe time zones preferred)

Project Background

The goal is to improve attribution accuracy, merchant quality filtering, and overall channel efficiency by incorporating additional data points into the affiliate system. The backend is implemented in Go, uses Postgres for storage, integrates heavily with Impact.com, and consumes events from internal Kafka event streams.

Scope of Work

Implement event sourcing for key lifecycle events (e.g., product activation, key usage milestones) and send these events to Impact.com
Implement the lead-gen affiliate flow, integrating Impact.com with Salesforce
Improve the purchase flow integration to Impact.com, including coupon codes and sales revenue (sales price) to enable more flexible payout models with selected partners

Requirements & Skills

4+ years of backend engineering experience
Strong Go development experience (incl. unit testing)
Experience integrating third-party services / APIs (Impact.com experience is a plus)
Solid Postgres experience
Experience consuming events from Kafka (as an event source; not designing the platform)
Integration testing experience
Able to execute independently, understand end-to-end flows, and manage multiple system dependencies
