Our story
Founded in 2005, we began as a platform for PHP developers with a clear tech focus. Over time, our offerings expanded to cover the broader project management landscape. In 2012, we took a significant step by launching freelancermap.com, expanding our reach to the international market. After being acquired by Müller Medien in 2009, we’ve placed the future of work and digital networking at the core of our mission. In 2016, we launched our annual Freelancer Study, and in 2017, Thomas Maas became CEO, driving a stronger focus on service and customer relationships. In 2025, we’re preparing for a major brand relaunch – more modern, more streamlined, and even more in tune with our community.
